Toronto's Urban Farm
Fresh City has farmed at Downsview Park for 12 growing seasons, during which we've grown a lot of food and raised a lot of consciousness around food justice and sustainability.
In 2022, we opened a brand new, much larger farm at the south end of the park, bringing to life our vision of a co-farming space and community hub. Spanning 11 acres, the Fresh City Farm includes 5 acres of farming space plus The Barn, a stunning, 1,900 square foot event space.
In its new incarnation, the Fresh City Farm is a dynamic and vibrant hub for community and education on food justice and sustainability—for people in all walks of life, wherever you are on your food journey.

May Spring Seedling Event! This May for 3 Saturdays (May 4, 11, 18) from 9AM-2PM, you're invited to the farm to check out the new growth, talk to the farmers and buy seedling and seed for the upcoming season. We grow a variety of, well, varieties of organic vegetable, flower and herb seedlings in compostable pots. We'll have some snacks on site, and will be running 1 educational workshop per day about seedling care and planting, or our intro to gardening course.

The Barn is available for bookings and can host an array of gatherings and celebrations including corporate events, seated dinners and community events.
